The developer and end user get some perks from this deal as well, but suffice it to say that the price point many developers sell at. In order for a collection to appear in Kontakt’s Libraries tab with the graphic, the developer of the library has to pay Native Instruments a fee for the privilege. This revealed the Instrument Edit Mode for Kontakt. The process went like this: to create a new Kontakt instrument, either double click in the blank instruments area, or click “Files,” then “New instrument.” Once the instrument is created, I named it and clicked on the wrench icon in the top left hand corner.
